My love and inspiration for ceramics came from time spent living with an ancient potter in the desert scape of New Mexico, and with a background in precise fabrication and design, I enjoy the process of free flow form making with clay and the unlimited possibilities of the creation process.
Since those initial days in New Mexico, I have spent time in many different studios and sitting beneath a broad range of teachers and styles, most recently taking courses in Kathmandu, Nepal.
My style and work is drawn from a variety of places and centuries old techniques, including Japanese raku, traditional Nepalese wild clay works & Korean onggi, to name a few.
I put a great deal of time, thought, and energy in to each piece I make, with each one being completely individual.
Each piece made with respect on Gumbaynggirr country (Bellingen).
Here you will find a small collection of my works. Ranging from serving platters to lighting fixtures.
I am open to taking on custom orders.
